Full Stack Developer (PHP / Symfony)

We are looking for a Senior Developer who lives and breathes backend engineering to join our core development team. Your primary mission is to build and maintain the robust server-side logic that powers our platforms. You are a master of PHP and Symfony, but you aren’t afraid to jump into a React component or adjust a Node service when the mission requires it. You will work alongside a talented team of engineers to ensure our applications are secure, performant, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

Core Backend Engineering (Primary Focus):

• Symfony Development: Build and maintain complex backend services using PHP 8.x and Symfony, ensuring code is clean, modular, and well-tested.
• Data Layer Execution: Manage and optimize performance and schema design for our MySQLand MongoDB databases.
• API Construction: Develop high-throughput RESTful APIs that serve as the backbone for our internal and external integrations.
• Logic & Runtime: Work with Node.js for specialized microservices, real-time data processing, or internal tooling.

Frontend & Integration (The “Plus”):

• Full-Stack Collaboration: Partner with UI specialists to integrate backend logic with React frontends.
• Component Maintenance: Modify or build React components to ensure end-to-end feature delivery.
• JS Ecosystem: Use your JavaScript knowledge to ensure seamless data flow between server-side services and the browser.

Performance & Reliability:

• Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the backend, from complex SQL queries to inefficient PHP processing.
• Testing: Maintain a rigorous testing culture, writing unit and integration tests (PHPUnit) to ensure platform stability.
• Security: Follow “security-by-design” principles across the stack, focusing on data protection and secure authentication.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of professional backend-heavy development within a team environment.
• Mastery: Deep expertise in PHP 8, Symfony, and MySQL.
• Database Variety: Hands-on experience working with MongoDB in production.
• Full-Stack Competency: Functional proficiency in React and Node.js.
• Tooling: Proficient with Git, Docker, and working within modern CI/CD pipelines.
